Puppy Chow

A Midwest staple. There is no science to this but who can go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate?

Ingredients:

Chex cereal (The regular kind. You’ll need several cups.)

About a cup of chocolate chips

About a 1/4 cup of peanut butter

Powdered sugar

Directions:

  1. Melt the chocolate. This is easiest in 15 second intervals in the microwave, stirring in between. There is nothing worse than burnt chocolate, so if you mess up, start over.

  2. Once melted, stir in the peanut butter.

  3. Toss the cereal in there bit by bit, coating it entirely. Add more cereal until optimal chocolate to cereal ratio. It should coat the cereal with excess chocolate just floating around.

  4. Then dump the mixture into a shallow dish full of powdered sugar. Coat until the chow is not sticky to the touch.
