Ham Sui Gok

Ingredients:

2.5 oz ground pork

1.5 oz shrimp, finely chopped

1/4 cup green onion, chopped

2 Tbsp sesame oil

1 Tbsp soy sauce

1 Tbsp hoisin

1 tsp rice wine

1/4 tsp sugar

1/4 tsp salt

1/8 tsp pepper

3/4 lb. glutinous rice flour

1/2 cup sugar

2 tsp baking powder

1 cup water

Oil, for frying

Directions:

  1. Mix pork through pepper in a bowl for the filling. Cook in a pan on the stove.

  2. Mix glutinous rice flour, sugar, and baking powder. Add water and knead for about 5 minutes. Cut dough into 20 even pieces and let rest briefly on a flat surface under a damp cloth.

  3. Flatten dough piece into a circle, fill, and shape into a football shape.

  4. Deep fry in oil at 350F until they float, are puffy, and are golden brown. Drain on a paper towel.
