S'mores Bars

My few, dedicated fans have requested this recipe be posted. Make sure to make this alone -your guest will not want to know what’s in it.

Ingredients:

1 cup butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

2 2/3 cups flour

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

4 of those jumbo Hershey’s milk chocolate bars

3 cups marshmallow fluff

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Adjust the rack to the middle.

  2. Grease a 13x9 pan. Grease it well.

  3. Beat the butter. Add the sugars. Beat more.

  4. Add the eggs and vanilla. Beat more.

  5. In a separate bowl, mix flour, grahams, powder, and salt.

  6. Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the butter-sugar mixture.

  7. Divide the dough in two.

  8. Press half of the dough into the pan into an even layer.

  9. Lay down the Hershey bars. You’ll have to break some to get an even, single layer across the whole pan.

  10. Do your best to spread the marshmallow fluff evenly across the chocolate layer.

  11. Put the other half of the dough between two sheets of wax paper. Use a rolling pin to roll it out to 13x9.

  12. Place the sheet of dough on the top of your marshmallow fluff. Press down slightly to secure.

  13. Bake for 30ish minutes or until the top is golden brown.

  14. YOU HAVE TO LET IT COOL TO ROOM TEMPERATURE BEFORE CUTTING. It is super gooey inside and you’ll have a complete mess on your hands if you don’t. Serve it right out of the pan in nice 1-inch squares.
